Why Intern?

A CAREERS internship is so much more than a summer job. Here are the top five reasons we think you'll like internship better than slinging burgers this summer:

1)  Work experience. It looks great on a resume, and you'll have more fun exploring something that interests you.

2)  Pay. All our students get a fair wage or honorarium (one-time payment) for their work.

3)  High school credit. Your high school will give you credits for your internship, and the earlier you start a program, the more credits you can earn.

4)  A head start in your career. Some programs let you work toward certification or apprenticeship while you finish high school. That means you could graduate already qualified to get started in a great career.

5)  Figure yourself out. You'll graduate with a better idea of what you want to do (and if you decide to continue in your internship field, you'll be well on your way to doing it!)
