Hire a Student

Hiring a student intern is easy. There are just a few simple steps to the process: 

1)  Contact CAREERS.  Make sure you let us know what industry you're in and what job role you want your student intern(s) to fill. We have internship programs in the trades, industrial technologies and health services.

2)  Pick a great candidate.  We carefully pre-screen students based on their grades, attendance and attitude. You have the opportunity to interview a select few potential interns and choose the best fit for your company.

3)  Mentor your student.  Choose an experienced employee to mentor your student intern's work and help them with their questions. If you're in a very busy shop, you can even have two or three people sharing mentorship of your student.

4)  Get the most out of your experience.  Our employers often find their employees are energized by a new face in the workplace. It's said that you never really know something until you have to teach it to someone else! Focus on showing your student everything you can in the time you have with them.
