Wednesday April 17, 2013 - Fort McMurray "Trade Up to the Future" CAREERexpo
"A career expo to imagine, discover, and design tomorrow's career path." For the first time, in partnership with the Government of Alberta, Keyano College, and the Fort McMurray Construction Association, CAREERS: The Next Generation is organizing a CAREERexpo with a 'try-a-trade' theme. Young students from the area and surrounding communities will be invited to participate in the showcase of approximately 50 exhibitors, with various fun, interactive booths to motivate students into early career path development.

Organized by CAREERS: The Next Generation and hosted by Grande Prairie Regional College – this exciting event will bring together exhibitors from a variety of industries and high school students from the area. The result will be an educational and interactive experience for all involved, with an aim to increase career awareness and opportunities.

May 2013 - Trades and Technology Camp
CAREERS partners with Grande Prairie Regional College to host a two-day overnight camp in Fariview exploring career and training opportunities available in those fields.
July 3 & 4, 2013 - Builders of Alberta: Past, Present & Future Reception and Eric Newell "Kidz in Careers" Golf Classic (Calgary)
This summer event is named to honour Mr. Eric Newell, the founder of CAREERS: The Next Generation, Chair of its Board of Directors, and a champion of education for youth. Our goal is to highlight the importance of maintaining a long-term investment in workforce and career path development for Alberta in both times of prosperity and constraint. The evening prior to the golf tournament, we host the Builders of Alberta: Past, Present & Future Reception at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary with dinner, speeches, and a silent auction with the proceeds going towards CAREERS programming. The golf tournament starts bright and early with a Texas Scramble format and includes many contests, skills challenges, and a BBQ once the clubs are done swinging.

July 7-12, 2013 - Power Engineering Summer Institute (Edmonton)
All 1st year students making satisfactory progress in the CAREERS Power Engineering Program are invited to attend this Institute which is intended to supplement student learning within the Power Engineering curriculum, provide exposure for students to boiler operations, instruct students in plant and boiler (steam) safety, and allow students to network with other students in the program and with NAIT Power Engineer Instructors. Each day of the Institute is planned and meals will be served as part of the day. Each evening will have a supervised activity for students. Teachers and CAREERS staff will attend as chaperones during the week.
August 12-16, 2013 - Health Sciences Career Camp (Edmonton)
CAREERS has partnered up with Alberta Health Services, Covenant Health, MacEwan University, NAIT, NorQuest College and the University of Alberta to offer an interactive, educational and unique summer camp opportunity for students interested in a health career.
The 2013 Health Sciences Career Camp is geared for students enrolled in Grade 10-12 (as of September 2013). Students will tour labs, go behind the scenes at local health care facilities, participate in hands-on activities and discover hundreds of career paths in health care.
