Do you have an interest in exploring a career path in the forestry industry? If so you can participate in a six-week internship in Grande Prairie, Peace River, High Level, and La Crete where you earn high school credits, receive safety training through a fun summer camp and gain entry into the forestry industry while getting paid! Each year there are approximately 10 internships available with participating northwest Alberta forestry industries.
Qualifications:
- Grade 10 or 11 high school student
- On-track to graduate with strong science and math skills.
- Love of the outdoors.
- Good physical shape.
- Capable of working in a team.
- Good school and community citizenry.
- Excellent school attendance record.
- Parent or guardian support.
- Reliable transportation to worksite.
- School recommendation.
