A: Presentations take about 40 minutes of class time.
Q: How can CAREERS help me implement RAP and/or the Health Services Program in my school?
A: Contact your local Field Director to arrange a student workshop for your school.
Q: Are students paid for their work in internships or apprenticeships?
A: Students are paid by their employers for their work in RAP (following a 125-hour try out period), the PFO program, the Forestry Program and the AHEAD roadbuilding program. Students who participate in the Health Services Internship Program receive an honorarium for their work.
Q: At what grade can students enter CAREERS' programs?
A: CAREERS students can enter the Registered Apprenticeship Program, the Production Field Operator Program or the Forestry Program as early as grade 10. Both the Health Services Internship and the Skilled Workforce (AHEAD) program accepts students in Grade 11 and 12.
Our career camps generally accept students from grades 9 to 12.
